New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen joined Coldplay for their concert at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night and surprised fans with two songs.
Video captured by Ines Latorre and shared to Instagram shows English rocker Chris Martin introducing his surprise guest.
I have a tattoo on my arm, which is cause this person is my hero, he said. And please welcome I can’t believe we get to say it but please welcome Mr. Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen, 72, came out on stage and hugged Martin as the crowd cheered. The pair performed Springsteen’s 2009 hit Working on a Dream. Another clip shows Martin on the piano as Springsteen sings Dancing in the Dark.
Coldplay is currently on their Music of the Spheres world tour, and Springsteen recently announced that he and the E Street Band will launch a world tour in February 2023.
