Barbie goes inclusive: New range has Barbie with prosthetic leg and Ken with vitiligo

Mattel is adding a new range of inclusive dolls to its Barbie Fashionistas collection.
The toy company has unveiled its first Barbie with behind-the-ear hearing aids for the new line.
Mattel said it worked with an audiologist to accurately create and model the devices for the doll.
The 2022 Fashionistas collection will also feature dolls in wheelchairs and a Barbie with a purple prosthetic leg.
In addition, Mattel created a new Ken doll with vitiligo, which is a condition that causes patches of skin to lose color.
The full 2022 Barbie Fashionistas line will be available at Target, Walmart and Amazon in June.
